Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-1 to return to the top of the Premier League standings.

The Gunners had suffered a four-game winless run prior to the match.

Martin Odegaard scored two identical goals, while Gabriel Jesus added the third.

Chelsea were unable to offer much in response until Chukwunonso Madueke pulled one back in the 65th minute.

Arsenal were able to channel their disappointment over their loss to Manchester City into a dominant performance against Chelsea.

The win puts Arsenal two points above Manchester City atop the standings.

However, City have two games in hand and could quickly reclaim the top spot.

Granit Xhaka played a key role in creating the opening goals for Odegaard.

Chelsea, languishing in 12th place, had nothing to play for and offered little resistance.

Despite the win, Arsenal will need to continue their good form to have a chance at winning the league.
